ELSV ART // DIGITAL ART EMERGENCE

NEW YORK [SEPT 15 2016] – As newer technology emerges, there are newer ways to create art. Tablets have become a major part of the way we go about our daily routines, making way for tasks to be created, worked on and finalized while on the go.

The art scene itself has seen an emergence of work created with the use of a tablet and a stylus. Rashad Graham makes use of this platform to create various pieces inspired by various moments in Pop Culture. It can sometimes take hours to a whole day to finish one piece, according to Graham.Different canvases. Different tools. Different platforms. It all comes together in art. Whether its drawing, painting, sculpting or forms of photography, many things take form with the start of each creation.

With the digital aspect of artwork, a sketch can be the groundwork for many different creations; a painting; a drawing, the blueprint being a sculpture. Its all connected. Having the access and the freedom to create on the go, makes it easier to edit and finalize photography, sketches and more. This allows for more cross platform creations.

A photograph can be the groundwork in a digitally created painting or even painted with a variety of mediums. A painting with vast details showcases lifelike similarities reverts itself back to what seems to be just a photograph.

This emergence has integrated itself among what artists were once used to and now allows for continuous differences in artwork. ▲

ELSV MAGAZINE ISSUE 4 - PERSPECTIVES

ELSV MAGAZINE - PERSPECTIVES

NEW YORK [MAY 2016] – Perspectives, takes the Model Issue to the next level; following Issue 3’s release, Issue 4 delivers art and creativity and storytelling that delivers different perspectives our readers will find when taking in the concepts and art featured in this issue.

FINDING A CALM IN THE MIDDLE OF A STORM, WHILE LOOKING FOR SOLITUDE IN A QUIET SILENCE SURROUNDED WITH CHAOS. TWO PERSPECTIVES CREATED TO MEET SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE.

A DESTINATION - TWO PATHS TO ARRIVE, TWO CHOICES THAT CAN EQUATE TO ONE ANSWER.

ON ONE HAND CONTINUING ON THE PATH THAT YOU’VE ALREADY TAKING WHICH HAS GOTTEN YOU WHERE YOU ARE; ON THE OTHER HAND, TAKING THE OTHER PATH INTO A NEW DIRECTION TO FACE AN UNKNOWN. WITH CHALLENGES OR ROAD BLOCKS THAT MAY COME, YOU STILL HAVE EYES AHEAD ON WHERE BOTH PATHS SHOULD LEAD. WHICH PATH DO YOU TAKE?

Take a look at your own reflection in a mirror but seeing something different from what is shown to you. If one’s view differs from what is shown, which version actually stands to be correct? The mind can show us things beyond what the eyes can see but with two sides which do you believe.

Strangers cross paths and never meet yet for a single moment, can feel as if they’ve known each other all along or from some time before. People who’ve know each other so well can eventually turn into people who don’t know each other at all.

Shattered glass, reflected surfaces. Infinite possiblities of distorted imagery. Yet the mind translates it beautifully and in an instance the whole picture is shown clearly.

“The Devil Whispers... you cannot withstand the storm... The Warrior replies.. I am the storm.” - Unknown.

It’s funny how as people we live in a world through our own view point from our mind. Our mind is so much of it’s own that sometimes it will tell us we can’t, we aren’t strong enough, etc... It’s important to tell our minds or whatever negative entity to perish the thought. WE ARE THE STORM! - Zachary on Perspective.

“I believe that we rise by lifting others. We are here to inspire one another, to allow ourselves to be comfortable with our own unique characteristics. People are going to disagree with you but remember that they don’t see your vision or feel the love you have for your passion. Patience and persistence is key, always have a strong will power and determination. When you become the image of your own imagination, it’s one of the most powerful things you could ever do.” Chantal on ‘Perspective’

THE MATTER PROJECT — ELSV.

NEW YORK [SEPT 2015] – As featured in ELSV. Magazine Issue II, ‘The Matter Project’ conceptualized by Features Director, Joshua Stowers to launch ELSV ART.

A television projects all kinds of matter: people, landscapes, words & numbers and even false realities. But what if you could control what you wanted to see on television by simply thinking of the things that interest you and blending them together? The Matter Project is a collection of design themes and imaginative mindscapes pieced together, creating a conceptual project that can be found from almost anywhere on the color spectrum. Architectural design, geometrical shapes and photographic overlaying are the types of designs which inspire the concepts. Each Matter design is associated with a particular color which represents the mental interpretation of said color that’s resting in the fantasy world called ‘my mind’.

Pop in The Matter Project, grab your remote control, change the channel and stare into the colorful depths of my mental recreation.
